Handstands: 101

Interested in getting better at a skill that many find quite difficult to not only perform, but also learn? Then join Coach Riley Morlen for this introductory course on the Handstand. This course is designed for beginners and will cover the basics of being on our hands, including:

• Proper shape of the handstand
• How to come out of the handstand safely
• Learning to balance in a static position
• Drills and Gymnasts use to develop the handstand
• Differences between handstands: CrossFit vs. Gymnastics

Instructed by: Coach Riley Morlen
"Gymnastics has been a part of my life since I was 5 years old and since then I’ve competed nationally, was a Collegiate division 1 gymnast, coached Junior Olympic athletes, and judged numerous meets. I’d love to share my knowledge with any who wish to add the handstand to their skill set."

This course is open to anyone (members and non-members of Mission CrossFit) who is wanting to become more comfortable on their hands. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing what Coach Riley has learned from a life of gymnastics.
